Electric Entertainment, the producers of TNT’s hit series Leverage, confirmed that they will remain in Portland to shoot the show’s fourth season.
Many first heard the news when the Oregon Film Office sent out its monthly e-newsletter . The news was also reported on Oregon Public Broadcasting Wednesday afternoon.
As the OPB story notes no figures are available, as yet, for how much production of Leverage’s third season has brought to the state’s economy (though it reiterates the fact that Season 2′s production in Portland employed about 400 Oregonians for 150,000 hours). Another story in yesterday’s Hillsboro Argus, however, indicates the amount of money being spent by Electric Entertainment.
Needless to say, Leverage and Electric Entertainment continue to be valuable partners in Oregon’s film and TV industry. We’re happy to see them return for Leverage‘s fourth season, and we’re looking forward to hearing about some of the new projects hinted about in yesterday’s Oregon Film Office newsletter!
